Welcome to the Pequot Lakes Community Library
Your Pequot Lakes Community Library has been in operation since July 2004. The library has a staff of 30 volunteers and is growing rapidly. There are over 2,000 Library Card holders. We are open 31 hours per week in the winter, 43 hours per week in the summer, and average over 50 patrons per day for each of the six days a week that we are open.
The entire catalog of our materials is now online! Click the "Online Catalog" button at the right to access the catalog. You may search the catalog for materials and be able to tell if the material is in or checked out. If it's checked out, you may call the library (568-6181) and ask to have it reserved for you. When the material is returned to the library, you will be called, and you may come in and check it out.
A Great Collection
There are currently over 19,000 materials available. These materials include fiction and nonfiction books, periodicals, books on tape and CD, and movies on tape and DVD. The collection is constantly being upgraded through donations and a monthly purchase of best-selling fiction and nonfiction.
Patrons are welcome to check availability of items and reserve items by e-mail or phone.
There are six computers, with high speed internet access, available for patrons to use. We also have wireless internet access for patrons who choose to use their own laptops. An additional computer is designated for patrons to search our collection for materials by title, author, subject, or key words.
